Both groups are chapters of Business Networking International and met to celebrate a philosophy that “Givers Gain.” Florian Suserman, president of Strategic Connections, explained, “‘Givers Gain’ is the idea that when we focus our attention on helping others, we will be the prime beneficiary by feeling better, and yes, likely seeing some business return down the road.” The two groups turned their giving to the Simuel Whitfield Simmons Organization, whose mission is to help families become more self-sufficient by supporting them with a consistent life support system. Members of the groups collectively contributed more than $3,400 and donated enough clothes to fill a van after the event.
